I like playing for the casuals because……….

there's a mix of really good cricket and really crap cricket, played in the right manner

I hate playing for the casuals because…………

there's too many games and only so many times the bird can allow me to play

If I didn’t play so much cricket I’d be………. at home with the bird watching soaps
Did you know….

As well as his interest in 70's Mod music Matt also enjoys analysing the music of Alanis Morrisette, he is in fact in the middle of a 10,000 word thesis on the song - 'Ironic'. He can also equate the song to the casuals. Indeed in the same way it's ironic to have '10,000 spoons when all you need is a knife' it is also ironic that Winky can bowl magnificently and take no wickets when Fitzy can take a bagful and bowl like a twat. Also the irony of 'rain on your wedding day' is very similar to Steveo getting runs when players with technique don't.

It is also easy then to equate a 'death row pardon a minute too late' as ...... hang on that's not irony you stupid Canadian!! That's just terrible, more of an indictment on the policy of capital punishment in America, does she even know what irony is? The more I think about it the worse it becomes - I tell what is ironic Alanis - the fact that I can only think of 10,000 swear words to describe you when I'm trying to keep it clean!!!!!
